A Word from your Doctor
We do not have any more seasonal flu vaccine for adults and do not anticipate being able to get any more. The majority of local pharmacies are also either out or very low, but we have been told that they may be getting more. If you are over 50 years or have a chronic health condition we advise that you get the vaccine if possible. We still have an adequate supply of seasonal flu vaccine for children less than 19 years which is supplied by the Department of Health.

H1N1 Update
We have just received a limited supply of H1N1 Novel Influenza vaccine, otherwise known as Swine Flu. At this time we have only the injectable form and we do not know when and if we will receive more vaccine. The top priority is to vaccinate age 6 months through 24 years, any household contacts of infants under 6 months and older adults with underlying chronic respiratory conditions and conditions which result in a compromised immune system. Children under 10 years should receive a second dose four weeks after initial dose if supplies allow.
We currently have a list of adults who have contacted our office because they believe they should receive the vaccine. If you believe you are eligible and have not been contacted please call to inquire. We will be contacting families of children and our younger adults beginning with the youngest. We will also be calling you if you are on the above mentioned list. If you have access to the vaccine at another location please get the vaccine as our supplies are limited.
